Gut

Das Kleid paßt gut, nur in der Taille etwas weit. Kann aber auch an meinen Meßkünsten liegen. Jedenfalls paßt dann beim Dinner mehr rein. Ich bin zufrieden und freu mich.

Perfect for the occasion

I was looking for a dress to wear at a noontime wedding ceremony, that would be elegant and festive, but not flashy nor filled with shimmer. This dress fits the bill perfectly!
It is beautifully embroidered in silky thread over tulle. It fits me perfectly without having to do any alterations. I must admit, however, that upon opening the box and stretching it over my dinning room table, I was perplexed and disapointed with the colors. The pictures of this dress online show what appears to be light pink flowers and light green leaves amid bronze and creamy embroidery. At first, it looked all monochromatic in bronze to golden tones, and with creamy touches; I was tempted to pack it and send it back to you. Fortunately, I decided to try it on. The ambient light and the effect of the light once it's on you does make a difference. It does have pink and light green tones, though they are not as brightly recognizable as they are in the promotional photo of the website. Soon, I came to appreciate the beautifully subdued brightness of this elegant and eye catching dress. I wore it with minimal jewelry as to not interfere with the embelished look of the dress (a nice set of earings, ring and bracelet in gold and emeralds), high heeled sandals and a matching clutch.

Feminine and Fun

This was the third of my "try before you buy" dresses. The delicate embroidery covering the dress is beautiful. The embroidery also covers the sleeves of the dress. Since the dress size was much larger than mine, I got an idea of how the dress would look in the correct size or if altered. I did notice the line of heavy embroidery that extends below the waist has to be lined up properly for the dress to look right when worn. The long sleeves did not feel restrictive.
